Submissions are now officially open for the VR Competition of Ru-mòre – Cinema and Audiovisual Experimentation Festival 2026, organized by 8 Production under the artistic direction of Laura Catalano and Giorgio Calogero.

Now in its eighth edition, Ru-mòre strengthens its role as a festival for bold cinema and emerging technologies. 
With the launch of the VR Competition, the festival moves further into the world of new digital media, expanding its program to welcome immersive storytelling and 360-degree experiences.

We are looking for 360-degree video works—up to 30 minutes in length—that challenge perception, rethink narrative space, and invite audiences to experience cinema beyond the traditional screen. 

Selected projects will compete for the official VR award and will premiere during the festival in a dedicated program that explores the evolving language of moving images.

Submissions open on September 30, 2025 and will close on February 1, 2026.
